Chris Abraham and Mark del Bianco have been doing privacy, telecom, and Internet privacy work together for years; now, Mark and Chris get to work together under the Gerris and Law Office of Mark C. Del Bianco brands.

Advising on data privacy and security issues arising from the growth of the mobile Internet and the move to the cloud has become a larger part of my practice since 2011.  Mark's recent client projects in this space have ranged from drafting standard website privacy policies, to assisting in client data and privacy audits, to advising on data security and law enforcement disclosure obligations, and co-ordinating the reporting of and response to a data breach involving customers in 22 states.

We're pleased to announce that Mark del Bianco has expanded his expertise in the area by qualifying for the Certified Information Privacy/US designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.  The CIPP is the global standard in privacy certification. The CIPP is the world’s first broad-based global privacy and data protection credentialing program. CIPP/US certification requires demonstration of a strong foundation in U.S. privacy and data breach laws and regulations, and a thorough understanding of the legal requirements for the responsible transfer of sensitive personal data to/from the U.S., the EU and other jurisdictions.

Telecommunications and related industries are undergoing continuous technological and legal change, particularly as businesses move to the cloud. It is crucial to have an attorney who understands the law, the technology, and the evolving business models.

Mark del Bianco's goal is to provide excellent service that allows clients to focus on expanding their business and taking advantage of the opportunities created by the emergence of new technologies and more competition.  Mark works closely with our clients to anticipate opportunities and problems, and then to develop effective solutions and implement them at a reasonable cost. When problems do arise, Dan assists clients in resolving disputes in ways that minimize the pain and distraction for them.
